HydraFacial at Skin Suite: The Ultimate Mid-Winter Reset

Okay, here we go again, another episode of Skin Suite Experience Tester (aka me, the person who knows nothing about skincare but is lucky enough to have Rosie and Lauren looking out for me).

Let’s rewind a bit. One of the things that has been on my skincare bucket list for years? A HydraFacial. I actually won one in a silent auction way back when I lived in Vancouver… and then just never went. (Classic.) So when the opportunity came up at Skin Suite, I was in.

The Facial Fairy Godmother

Rosie who, let’s be honest, is the undisputed Facial Queen, was kind enough to treat me. Since she knows my skin well, she went all in and used the diamond tip to really give my face a deep clean and glow-up.

Why now? Because it’s the middle of a long, dry, freezing winter and my skin was basically crying out for help. I felt dull, dry, and just blah. I needed a full-on pore vacuum-meets-hydration hero, and that’s exactly what the HydraFacial delivered.

What It Felt Like

First of all, cozy level 100. The bed was heated, the blanket was warm, and I fully cocooned myself in for what turned out to be an incredibly relaxing session. Rosie took her time exfoliating, clearing out my skin, and replenishing it with all the good stuff.

She also added the lip exfoliation treatment, which made my lips feel soft and plump, like I hadn’t just spent the last two months braving prairie winds without Chapstick.

The Results

Here’s the thing: HydraFacial isn’t like a laser or peel where you’re looking for dramatic skin correction or peeling. It’s more like a deep, nourishing reset. Think: a really solid refresh for your face when it’s been neglected, dehydrated, or generally over the winter gloom.

When it was done, I felt fresh, clean, and ready to get back on the hydration train until the snow melts and life feels a little brighter. It’s the kind of treatment I’d absolutely recommend when you just need that glow-up pick-me-up.
